Anne Teresa de Keersmaeker assorted a special selection of films that are closely connected to and have influenced in various ways her artistic and personal live. The program she compiled is very diverse. It consists of short movies or fragments, ranging from dance films in the traditional sense of the word, to documentaries and mainstream Hollywood movies, between abstract works of art and video clips.

Cinedans takes great pride in the fact that the American choreographer William Forsythe has agreed to compile a programme of his favorite dance films for this festival. In addition to the Carte Blanche, the festival treats the audience on film installations by Forsythe, namely Antipodes 1/2 (2006) and Thematic Variations (2007) and to the film SOLO (1997) with Forsythe himself in it.
